Environmental Accelerated testing has been recognized as a necessary activity to ensure the reliability of electronic products used in military, aerospace, automotive, industrial, cellular phones, laptop computers, and home electrical appliances. Meridian Temperature & Humidity Chamber can be precisely controlled to investigate the impact of various environments on electronic products and systems for reliability enhancement testing as well as accelerated life tests.
In Oct 2016, Obsnap has installed, commissioned and provided training to a dynamic Malaysian Corporation that is amongst the world’s leading SMT LED, Light Emitting Diodes manufacturer. They have a stringent test requirement at constant temperature 85 deg. C & Humidity 85 %RH. Customer also perform durability test by subjecting the package undergoing extreme temperature variations over a given period of time. This test exposes the package to mechanical fatigue induced by cycles of thermal expansion e.g. -40 deg C to +80 deg C. then back to -40 deg C and continuously cycling.

Coulometric Coating Thickness Gauge is used to measure the thickness of electroplated coating on practically all substrates, i.e on steel, on non-ferrous and also on insulating material; such as nickel on steel. Zinc on steel, tin on copper, silver on copper and copper on epoxy. This measuring technique simply involves the removal of a small, almost invisible area of coating material whereas the substrate is unaffected.
Mr Cheong , through his continuous persistence , he has resolved a measurement challenge of Chrome coating thickness measurement on steel base by adopting a correct setting at GalvanoTest 3000 and gasget selection.

YES! Obsnap has done it again. In a two- days trip,
· We have rectified a 300J Impact Tester that had a computer corrupted issue in a university
· Resolved erroneous readings defect of a 100 ton Hydraulic Universal Testing Machine (UTM) of an oil &
gas metal fabricator.
· Installed a brand new Victor 100 ton Hydraulic Universal Testing Machine (UTM) for a pipe manufacturer.
Here was the timeline of our dedicated technical team during these two days. William woke up at 4:45am and after brief preparation, he headed to Samson’s house in Puchong , where they travelled in one car to Kuantan at 6am before the sun rise.
Obsnap team arrived at the first stop, university around 10am. It was a quick one. We completed the repair service of the 300J Impact Tester in a couple of 2 to 3 hours. After lunch, William & Samson worked on the metal fabricator’s Hydraulic UTM and subsequently installing the new Hydraulic UTM. Our team worked around the clock, at 11pm we finished installed and fine-tuned the machine operation. Only then William & Samson went to look for the hotel and had their dinner at 12am midnight!
The next morning, the team divided the tasks. William moved on to further repair with the Hydraulic UTM and Samson was to provide the commissioning and training of the new Victor 100 ton Hydraulic UTM. Finally, at around 7pm, Obsnap team has fulfilled all the missions. The repaired Hydraulic UTM continued to serve customer on the route to ISO 17025 accreditation and the new Victor 100 ton Hydraulic UTM is fully calibrated, tested and started to serve its new user.
